Bulldogs by the Bayou  - Sample Summer Events Calendar

 

Welcome to Bulldogs by the Bayou!  We’re so excited to have you with us for the summer, either as an intern, a mentor, a Yale Alum, or an employer.  Most of our events are open to as many as would like to come, though some require advance notice. 

 

 

 

Monday, May 26^th5:30 pm: Orientation and Opening Dinner.  501 West Friar Tuck Ln, 77024

 

Thursday, May 29^th: First Weekly Dinner.  Come one, come all.  We will meet at one of the restaurants near UST (University of St. Thomas); specifics will be forthcoming in our weekly email.  This dinner will occur every week on Thursday evenings.

 

Saturday, May 31^st: Scavenger Hunt / Exploration Challenge.  Meet at 12:30 PM at UST to explore as many Houston neighborhoods as you can.  Winner gets a prize.  Dinner at Goode Co. BBQ (Kirby and Bissonnnet) afterwards.

 

Saturday, June 7^th: Canoe on Buffalo Bayou.  Details TBA.

 

Saturday, June 14^th: Tennis with Chip Cowell

 

Wednesday, June 18^th: Long Lunch for panel discussion on Energy in Houston

 

Saturday, June 28^th: Art and Museum Excursion

 

Wednesday, July 9^th: TexasMedicalCenter panel discussion (Long Lunch).

 

Saturday, July 12^th: Full day excursion to NASA and Galveston.

 

Wednesday, July 16^th: Meeting with the Mayor.  Details TBD.

 

Thursday, July 24^th: Closing Ceremony (Final Thursday Dinner).

 

August 3^rd: Dorms at UST close.
