The letter will be forwarded to the student by the Bulldogs Across America for the student's commitment.  Once the student has responded, you will be notified by the Bulldogs Across America as to whether the student has been granted a position.

(Agency/Company name) is pleased to confirm our commitment to hire you as a Bulldogs Across America Summer Intern beginning May 26, 2009 and ending July 31st, 2008. Your gross compensation for this period will be $ to be paid on a basis.

As discussed, our expectations of the student for this period will include:

But we encourage you to use your creativity to expand upon these responsibilities as you feel appropriate and circumstances permit.

For day-to-day guidance, your supervisor will be (name and title).

This position is not funded until it is approved by Yale Club of Kentucky.

By accepting this internship offer I hereby affirm the following:

I agree to withdraw my application to all other internship/summer programs and will not accept any other offers for employment this summer inconsistent with my participation in the Bulldogs program.

I am at least 18 years of age and a student in good standing.

I am capable of conducting myself as an ambassador of my institution and the Bulldogs Across America program throughout the summer and agree to do so, and I understand that failure to do so will lead to my dismissal from the program.

I understand that the program is being operated on a not-for-profit basis and that most of those involved are volunteers who are participating out of the goodness of their hearts and do not wish to incur legal liability for their troubles. Accordingly, I hereby release my insitution; the Bulldogs Across America program; program mentors; and all others involved with the program from any claims based on injury caused by the wrongful acts or omissions of third parties (such as, for example, claims based on the condition or suitability of program housing, on negligent failure to properly choose housing or mentors or employers, or on actions of my employer) and I waive any such claims against those released persons, and I agree to hold those released persons harmless against any such claims brought on my behalf.

Please note: Positions in the Bulldogs Across America. Summer Intern Program will be awarded by the Bulldogs Across America. in its sole and absolute discretion; all decisions of the Club are final. No position will be awarded without a completed Application Form and final approval within this Commitment Letter. It is the responsibility of the student and the employer to verify the Yale Club's receipt of all necessary documents.
