BAA - Bulldogs Across America

We're excited to launch a second year of Bulldogs by the Big Muddy, sponsored by the Yale Club of St. Louis.

Known as the "Gateway City," St. Louis is one of the world's most influential river cities. The city has a diverse multi-cultural population, and is known for architecture, festivals, sports, and historical sites.

Program work dates are June 1-August 6, 2010

Besides a transforming work experience, benefits of the Big Muddy program include:

  • FREE housing at Washington University 
  • Paid internships (earning a minimum of 2,700 GROSS)
  • Connection with an alumni or community mentor
  • Participation in meaningful community immersion activities
  • Networking with civic and business leaders in the St. Louis area.

International Students:  You will need to apply for permission from immigration to work off campus (Optional Practical Training) to engage in a BAA internship. OPT applications can take up to three months for immigration to process, so advance planning is required.  These applications must be submitted through the Office of International Students and Scholars. The goal of Bulldogs by the Big Muddy, sponsored by the Yale Club of St. Louis, is to employ hardworking Yale students in meaningful internship positions, introduce these students to the assets and leadership of the St Louis community, provide benefit to local employers and enhance the community as a whole.
