The Basics for BOTL 2012

BOTL is a 10 week program.

  • Interns are expected to work 360 hours. The remaining time of 40 hours includes two holidays and time off for BOTL related activities.

DATES:

  • Arrive; Noon Sunday May 27th
  • Depart: Saturday, August 4th group 11.jpg

PAY

  • Intern pay is $2,700 for ten weeks (unless noted).
  • BOTL will pay for some additional expenses of the interns.

MENTORS:

  • Each intern will be assigned a "mentor" for a more personalized connection and introduction to our community.

TRANSPORTATION:

  • Interns will be using the bus system and/or bikes as much as possible. We hope that several interns will bring cars in order to help provide transportation to events

HOUSING

  • We will be returning to Danebo - A historic building, now home to the Danish American Center (DAC), located on the bank of the Mississippi river and minutes from downtown. Danebo sits on the eastern edge of the Grand Rounds Scenic byway , a fifty-mile walking/bike path that circles Minneapolis.
  • We will have many improvements over last year.
  • Air-conditioning, access to laundry, improved wireless, full use of kitchen, better food storage...
  • Most importantly housing is free to the interns.
