Describe the value of the proposed Internship to the Agency/Firm:
Yale Bulldogs have consistently provided the firm with reliable, effective performance - at a high level and with high capacity - for the past 11 summers.


Describe the value of the proposed Internship to the Intern:
The intern will gain significant insight into the practical operation of an invester-owned corporation. He or she will learn the subtleties of balancing the sometimes competing priorities of comminicating with a public company's key constituencies.


Job Description (should include: hours of work, job responsibilities, reporting structure -- chain of command, a description of the intern's "typical" day):
Assistant to the Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications: The successful candidate will perform a variety of challenging tasks including the development and implementation of strategic communications plans, the writing and dissemination of news releases about Humana and the managed care industry, engagement in written and spoken polemics and serving as liaison to Humana's principal Washington, D.C.-based trade associations.

Special Job Requirements (i.e. transportation, language, technical or other skills):
Vehicle preferred but not required. Strategic thinking. Superb written and oral communication skills. Ability to meet frequent tight deadlines with aplomb.
