Describe the value of the proposed Internship to the Intern:

Description:
The intern would be placed with Village Capital Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Neighborhood Progress. The intern would conduct systems analysis in 3 areas relevant to Village Capital's mission: (1) reviewing the current process for conducting a credit risk rating evaluation of VCC's 80+ real estate loans - i.e., coming up with a process for how we assign and manage data as it comes in, getting all of the narratives from the previous year updated with relevant info about the project and neighborhood, etc.; (2) reviewing VCC’s quarterly and annual reporting requirements and making recommendations for more efficient methods of quantifying VCC’s community impact and portfolio metrics (i.e., leveraged investment, historical performance, annual outcomes, annual outputs, etc.); and (3) assisting with a Year 16 initiative related to the sale of lease/purchase homes post a 15-year low-income housing tax credit period to low-income families (e.g., setting up a tracking system for fund awards and distributions, proposal in-take, etc.).
